The Japanese may actually be the first people to use what we refer to today as sliding closet doors. These doors essentially follow the commonly accepted definition of a door that moves sideways or in an up and down motion. They still serve the same purpose as they did then, to manage space, provide ease of use and highlight or disguise internal or external features of a structure.
Interiors of our homes are always susceptible to unwanted, heat or cold or other weather that we prefer to control. With the choices available, you can easily match the windows, shutters, and exterior doors to achieve those objectives.
Doors don‘t have to be flat. They don‘t have to be multi-paneled. Doors can be crafted in any number of ways. Do a simple search of door designs online and you will see a plethora of stunning doors from all cultures, all walks of life, all across the globe. Doors can be plain and utilitarian. They can be amazingly ornate and covered with carvings and embellishments. Doors can be done in plain wood and stained to retain their natural color. They can be painted bold colors that pop out from the rest of the house in order to really draw in the visitor‘s eye. So what kind of door are you looking for?
